Good White People,
When You Say, "I Don't Really
See Color..."
It's time to talk about us!
"Equity and inclusion seem like the new social lures, but I won't rise to answer that bell if it's not real meaning of my fighting words."
BEST BOOK FOR DIVERSITY EDUCATION EVER!
"Good White People, are you racist?"
Shhhhhh!
We all have stereotypes that limit our perspectives
Time to connect to learn how to think limitless!
BECAUSE.... when you say you can appreciate diversity and don't see color, it shows you still don't understand me in our differences
Mutuality unshackles chains that bind both our minds.
REALLY SEE ME THIS TIME! Connect with me so we can both experience what it means to be limitless.
Diversity Education is more complex than tolerance.
Hidden biases can be both costly and embarrassing.
We can change the legacy we leave behind.
Hear what others are saying when you see me this time and we connect. Difference does not mean alienation.
SEE ME IN MY POTENTIAL
Dana Peterson, former global economist at Citigroup Inc., in her research showed that, "Putting a dollar figure on the effects of racism endured by Black Americans was a way to convey the centuries-old issue in a way that the world of finance and economics would understand and relate to. Closing the racial gap would have generated an additional $16 trillion in economic output since 2000.’'
With this book you'll learn:
How to step out of silence and engage in meaniful dialogue to create impactful change from being more well informed and not just superficial or politically correct.
The single most important thing is that "difference" is not divisiveness. Cultural assimilation requires not only being exposed to different ideologies and opinions, but knowing not to use the power of privilege as "the other side of the fence," furthering the narrative of "othering" that hinders the upward mobility of others.
Difference is not when both sides have nothing in common. Appreciating diversity is more than the tolerance of parallel living. In the bond of humanity, sharing is more than just caring: social interaction must allow freedom for all. This living value creates opportunities when we esteem each other enough to respect each other's traditions.
Pushing beyond our turbulent past is a major emotional threshold. Still, the personal growth from our connection is the rebirth and passion we desperatly need. We both win!
Deep calling out to deep is our courage to seek and extract the rich cultural collateral from the vulnerable areas of our lives we are afraid to expose. Such boldness sometimes demands standing alone. This book will help you stand brave enough to leave your indelible footprint in the annals of history as a forerunner in discovering how to think limitless. We are not there yet!

REALLY SEE ME!
It's hard to write what is painful, yet teachable, about Black-White prejudice in what should have been the intimacy of marriage. But when our polarity means unbending arrogance, how then can love exist and still remain unscathed from such cruelty as racism?
I made my pain so public in writing this book because, when fighting for truth, we all have to be honest with ourselves and confront our own fears first. Remember our brave ripple on the ground is more contagious than the hype of the big wave we wistfully seek. Instead of running after "change to make change that dosen't change," if we radically heal our own minds first through transformation, we deeper understand how to give and receive.
Traces of goodness peek through all the characters in this book, which make you question the value of maintaining and not addressing the hidden biases that keep minds on both sides chained to a dysfunction that has become our normal speech.
In learning to grow from the place of goodness, I say to you, if we can't love each other, we can't climb to the mountaintop that seeps with healing love towards mankind. Our desire to reach such a high pinnacle will only resonate if there's consummation with both our will in oneness.
In shattering the shallowness of othering, the myopia that clouds both our eyes, together we can then lean towards finding creative ways to improve the well-being of humanity in our living space on earth. The goodness in us will make the bridge of hate too difficult to cross.

I want you also to experience this same experience for a new you. It's not too late to set a new goal, even if you've tried without the result you wanted.
Take the bold step to unchain your mind now!

RACIAL HEALING
Some people don’t really think there's a problem, but when we're prepared to understand things from the perspective of a Black person, this limitless mindset helps us be open to new mutual pathways from the added value and insight of indigenous knowledge.
All of the money in the world wouldn’t matter if you're in fear and not enjoying life from living in fear of offending me.
FINANCES
There's too much to gain! The person with clarity of purpose will understand thinking big means thinking healing first.
This positive energy sustains a growth mindset. We haven't tapped this expotential unbridled creative mind that is powered by our diversity.
The younger engaged privileged generation will have more economic success when it recognizes, appreciates, and not continue to colonize to commoditize the vast traditional practices and talent flowing out of young African minds.
Reading this book and implementing the principle it encourages us to make a habit will make a difference in your life. I know when you take action, you’ll get results because " Doing Right Until Mutuality Manifest" (DRUMM) is the same principle I've followed day in and day out for the last 5 years. This empowered me to contribute to my community, my family, and to the world on a much larger scale than when I was struggling under the bondage of a chained mind.
Don’t let the past rob the future…Let it go! Don’t let the voice of shame rob us of a richer future because of being shackled to incriminating acts of the past. IT'S TIME TO MOVE FORWARD!

"My Mayaguana"
Lecturer and Educator, Icelyn Russell Cate, writes with visionary passion about her country, The Bahamas. The driving force behind her social consciousness is the possibility of erasure of a village innocence of unseen humbleness still preserved for now in Mayaguana, the island where she was born.
Awarded a full scholarship as an exchange student to Elbert Covell College of the University of The Pacific, in California, Icelyn Cate earned a double degree (Bachelor of Arts in Inter-American Studies and a Licenciada in Business Administration). This exchange program was pioneered through the ambitious insight of the late US President John F. Kennedy Jr. to foster collaboration of inter–Americanism. A lifelong learner, Icelyn Cate earned a Master’s degree in English and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. Her thesis, Bahamia House, is a literary repository to help preserve her island nation’s culture as a teacheable model for understanding diversity.
